Well, it works. It resists splashes, but its faceplate is giant. You would like you would get a high-res display or some benefit to having such a big faceplate but nope. I bought this because it was pretty, I should have been looking at features like bluetooth audio for example. It works as expected and sounds great, the over sized faceplate and price and the lack of bluetooth are the only cons. Also don't buy this unless you can mount it somewhere very easily accessible because the display is hard to read at odd angles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Marine Receiver, June 9, 2009
This review is from: Sony CDXH910UI Marine CD Receiver MP3/WMA/AAC Player with USB Wire for iPod and USB Devices (Black) (Electronics)
Awesome receiver!!! Who needs CD's when you have an iPOD. Excellent features and easy to navigate. The adjustable crossover is a great feature if you're running sub woofers. The only thing I wish you could access if the genius feature of the iPOD. I plan on buying the wired remote eventually. A powerful radio too. I connected four (4) 6.5" speakers direct to the radio and ran a separate amp to two (2) 8" sub woofers and I can create my own wake without the engine running. I have this installed on a 20' pontoon boat.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent purpose built marine deck, November 20, 2011

I have had many boat stereos over the years. Some were automotive decks and others marine. This is by far the best deck that I have had on a boat. The deck I replaced had an external splash cover with a hinged lid which was screwed to the dash. (This deck has a splash proof face and does not need a cover) The benefit of the Sony Cdx-h910i is that it has an over sized face that covered the holes left from the remove splash cover. The deck has excellent audio clarity. Has all the outputs needed for subs and regular external amps. Mainly use it with XM and thumb drive. Face does not pop open when going fast when it is choppy, something that use to happen with other decks where the CD is located behind the face. I use two wired remotes with the deck, one at the drivers seat and one on the transom. Nobody could tell me if you could use more than one wired remote, I had to find out for myself. Just use a standard 3mm audio 2 way patch cord and extension cables. The remotes... Read more
